HERE COME THE ACTRESSES!

Here are the pictures of some of the celebrities attending the event, there are just a few because the others were... obscene! Leighton Meester and Madonna, dressed by Louis Viutton, seemed they came directly from a circus... couldn't help posting those images!? Rihanna was also the other celeb who was really ridiculous to my opinion.

Let's say that the following celebrities are the ones who could be saved from the black list of the worst dressed.

2009 COSTUME INSTITUTE GALA - THE MODELS

The story so far...

When I saw the first pictures of celebrities attending the Costume Institute Gala at the Met I was very disappointed as my first impression was a big delusion! But then, as soon as I found out what models wore at the event... wow, I was astonished! In respect to my tastes, it seems that my favourite models got the best looks ever! Anja and Daria wore Balmain (before seeing their pictures I was like... "nobody is wearing Balmain, why"? It would have been my first choice if I had the occasion), Gisele was in a glamorous electric blue Atelier Versace mini-dress, Amber Valletta in a sensous very yellow vintage James Galanos, Edita Vilkeviciute in Chanel, Lily Donaldson in Narciso Rodriguez.

Kate Moss in Marc Jacobs was nothing special to me, not that I was expecting too much from the couple. I must say that when I learnt she would have been dressed by him, I already knew I was not going to like it that much.

Helena Christensen was a total fuss: she was dressed by Zac Posen and the mini dress seemed to be made more for a cartoon character than for a beautiful model who used to be on the top like her!

Apart from this BIG mistake, let's say that, generally speaking, most of the models were really well dressed (it depends on your personal fashion taste if you prefer Shalom Harlow rather than Natalia Vodianova); the ones who really miss the point here are the actresses! OMG! There are just a few who will get my hands up for them and I will post them tomorrow so stay tuned. Thank you all!

JULIE ORDON - What a cutie!

This is the Chanel ad that made her famous

Maybe she's no news to fashionistas and to model-followers but I was found of Julie from the very first moment. I noticed her on the Chanel TV ad in which she was so sexy and then I found just some amazing other pictures of her... but what convinced me the most about this beau was that she's as tall as me! I know it may sound foolish and childish but, since I was modelling in my twenties in Milan and it was very difficul for me to catch some assignments because of my height (5.7), I started having an ossessive curiosity and a true passion for those famous short models (Kate Moss, Diane Kruger and so on). It made me feel I was not the only short one among these giant models! With just 1 big difference: they made it and I didn't! Now I know that I would have moved to Milan earlier and be more strong-willed :( I was already 26/27 years old and even if I signed with Elite models, I was too old (competing to all those 14 year old girls) and too arrogant "to be judge as a piece of meat".

Happy and hard days at the same time, big regrets of my life.

LOOKS OF THE WEEK

I really like that belt from Matthew Williamson for H&M and I also like that Mary-Kate (sure?) flashes out the outfit with that electric blue/purple long sweater. On the other hand, the bag is a splash of colour and a good idea to match the rest of the look (and the colours are the right ones) but I don't like the print.

Stella is always Stella! She wore one of her look at Milan International Furniture Fair and it was perfect! I have to try it (the long boyfriend jacket with nothing under) on my next night out

No, no, no Sienna, you're still missing the point here... it just doesn't seem your style. I got the feeling I'm being too much unforgiving with her , but I can't say I like her latest outfits. The one here is not bad at all, but what surprise me is that it is nothing special. The bag is the only piece I really like, very-this-moment. Com'on Sienna, give us one of your usual inspiring look!

If the picture of Diane Kruger below wasn't part of the looks of this week (actually it should have been on last week's post) this look from Chloè would surely be my favourite of the week for sure. Even if don't like wearing those colours (they don't look good with my skin tone - pale olive), I must admit she looks amazing. What I love is the leopard printed tank and the Chloè multi-strap wedges I absolutely want to buy myself this season!

As I said, this photo should not belong to this week's post but she is just sooo elegant and feminine that even if I found it out later on I decided to post it anyway.

The impression I got is that the dress maybe would have been more appropriate for an older lady but it is very glamorous and the fact she has a classic face and figure makes it perfect for her though.
