It's official: we can't get rid of big shoulder jackets this year! If we check the fall-winter catwalk shows we can easily notice that they are here to stay! Balmain (as usual), Herve Leger, Jonathan Saunders and even Marc Jacobs showed this trend for the upcoming season.The eighties are making a true come back, so we can take out our mother's power suits or even be inspired by Dynasty characters. What about Samantha in the Sex and the city movie this summer, whose suits in every possible color got really big shoulders? Anne Hathaway, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Moss (she can't miss!) among celebrities are already making their way to wear the trend. So, come on, we don't have to be afraid to look like Boy George, Michael Jackson or a member of the Duran Duran and at least we should try to go for a structured jacket with short sleeves or to match it with a pencil skirt while accentuating the waist with a wide belt. If this kind of jacket/dress has a quality it would surely be that it can help balance the pear-shaped body.
