ANOTHER POST ON CHANEL CRUISE 2011 COLLECTION IN SAINT-TROPEZ
I now that every blogger has posted about it but I coudn't help saying my opinion on the Chanel Resort 2011 collection held in Saint Tropez last week.
I feel like I'm not so much into the clothes of this collection - maybe more into the accessories as always :) but more into the mood and the atmosphere Karl Lagerfeld has created once more.
There is a bit of nostalgic feeling walking together with the almost all barefoot models and the scenario of the famous Cafè Sénéquier helped him reached his goal.
The pastel colours, the 70s inspiration and the unique Chanel "crew" made the rest.
I have to say I've really enjoyed it as a show and even if I wasn't there, Garance Dorè posts helped my imagination a lot (http://www.garancedore.fr/2010/05/13/le-beau-monde-2/)!

I think she should be considered the Grace Kelly of our times.

If her name doesn't mean anything for you, don't worry! It wasn't meaning anything to me either till yesterday night... I was flipping through the pages of Grazia Fr (I've become quite addicted to it too!) and there she was, on the right angle of a page. She's Chanel jewelry designer and also the creative director at Maison Michel (at just 32 years of age! What am I doing???), the hat brand of my previous post. As soon as I read about her I was googling her name to get more information and pics to find out this Belgian young lady has a great style! I'm sure all the fashion insiders she knows have helped her sense of style, anyway judge yourself from the photos I've decided to post...

THE TREASURES I FOUND AT THE MALL LAST WEEK

I haven't gone to the Mall for 2 months and I was really desperate to go as most of my designer findings came from there. There were a lot of pieces to buy this time I didn't know how I could cope with the lack of money of this period. I'm still trying to recover from having bought my Balenciaga leather jacket in London 2 months ago (that was from the boutique, so full retail price tag, that's why), but I had a "few" euro to spend and I decided for these 2 amazing pieces, the Balenciaga clutch I was lusting for since I saw it under my friend Louise's arm and the Stella shorts made my legs looked so long when I tried them on I coudn't help getting them.
I'm just so unmanageable!
TODAY CRAVING: FEDORA HAT
This means real luxury to me...
I know it's not the right time but I can't stop thinking about getting a mens hat! Probably it's a matter of weather, it keeps being cold and raining and the same will be for the next days so... the fact remains that when people start to look for summer clothes or even swimmwear I'm the one looking for coats, cashmere, boots! Now that I think about it, I've always bought the coat of the year in July or August!!! so now I think I'm going to buy a felt hat for next autumn. I'd like Borsalino or Maison Michel (very difficul to find in Italy) the most. Neither of them comes cheap but I'll invest in a black one that will never go out of style ;)

CURRENT CRAVING: ANY PAIR OF ISABEL MARANT BOOTS
I saw an ankle pair last week in Rome and since then I couldn't stop being obsessed. I didn't buy them as they don't come cheap at Eur 490 and I was thinking about waiting for the sales... but now I'm afraid they'll be out of stock by then... OMG, can't wait, I need them now!

FEEL OF SUMMER
Even if I'm not usually a big fan of H&M or Zara, this summer campaign is so colourful and fresh it screams freedom and holidays, 2 things I'm truly lusting for at this moment.
The weather is still quite bad, cold and rainy, I can only dream on getting undressed and taking a bath in the sea.
I'm not a flash-coloured person either, but I like wearing colours in summer to go to the beach. Love the yellow dress worn by Erin on the third pic.
